Retirement of Muhammad Amir the Pakistani Fast bowler from International Cricket

Retirement of Muhammad Amir the Pakistani Fast bowler from International Cricket. The Pakistani Fast bowler Mohammad Amir has conveyed to the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) his decision to retire from international cricket. Although no reason was specified there by Amir, and a electronic media release from the Pakistan cricket board revealed that the Amir is only 28-years-old informed the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) Chief Executive Wasim Khan that "he has no desires no wishes or intentions of playing international cricket and as such, he shouldn't be considered for future international cricket matches."

The Pakistani fast bowler Muhammad Amir retires from all kind of International cricket, Amir saying he had been "mentally tortured" by team management. The Pakistani left-arm fast bowler played 147 time for Pakistan across all formats like One day Cricket (ODIs), T-20 and Test matches and taking a combined 259 wickets, including 119 in Test cricket.

The left-arm fast bowler Muhammad Amir, who just wrapped up an impressive season of Sri-Lanka Premier League, has played only 30 Tests matches, 61 ODIs (One day international cricket) matches, and 50 T-20 International matches in his international career and in his life, picking up a total of 259 international wickets. His last appearance for Pakistan came in the T-20 International series against England in August earlier this year 2020.

This decision by Muhammad Amir, is like a temporary or otherwise, draws the curtains on an intriguing career of two stages. Muhammad Amir start as the prodigious talent and such a good bowler who as a 17-years-old turned heads when he took 55 wickets for National Bank of Pakistan in his debut season. Amidst constant comparisons to the bowling legend Wasim Akram, Muhammad Amir was fast-tracked into Pakistan's in 2009 T-20 international cricket World Cup side, where he made his debut for Pakistan in a T-20 International against England. He would go on to deliver a very essential burst in the final against Sri Lanka as Pakistan claimed the title.

After a sparkling start even to the Test format, his career has went to downhill after he was found guilty of spot-fixing in England and the Muhammad Amir was banned there for five years from International cricket. He made his international comeback again in international cricket in 2016 and went on to play an instrumental role in Pakistan's Champions Trophy triumph of 2017. He was also the side's leading wicket-taker at the 2019 World Cup where Pakistan failed to qualify for the semifinals despite wins over both of the eventual finalists, England and New Zealand, at the group stages.
